Start your own business
Our Start Your Own Business program is designed to assist individuals start, grow and succeed in the launch of their own business. It is divided into three modules to suit the needs of the individual and focus on the key factors that will drive the success of the business. Each module is run by experts in that particular field and can be taken independently.
Module 1: Get Ready to Start
Becoming a successful entrepreneur takes more than a great idea and the investment required. It also requires a high level of motivation and drive and a clear vision of what needs to be achieved. This is why this module has been specially designed to:
- Provide insight and understanding on what entrepreneurship is.
- Assess if the individual is ready to start a business and identify strengths and weaknesses.
- Explore and identify different business opportunities: create, buy or take a franchise.
- Understand the different legal structures, their advantages and limitations.
It includes an assessment (Success Insights) to identify the potential to become an entrepreneur, two sessions with a coach and one session with a senior consultant.
Module 2: Prepare Your Business Plan
A written guide to starting and running your business successfully is essential. This document is called a Business Plan and serves three purposes:
- Communicate to potential investors, partners and employees.
- Manage the business: track, monitor and evaluate progress.
- Identify the operational and financial objectives and plan the various phases of development.
This module includes three sessions of one hour each with a consultant who will guide the future business owner in the elaboration of a comprehensive and successful business plan. Additional sessions may be added upon request.
Module 3: Start Your Business
This module is aimed at people who have taken the decision to actively start their own business. It provides tailor made advice on all tax, social and legal aspects of setting up a business as well as budget elaboration and accounting requirements. It includes two sessions of one hour each with a tax expert. Additional sessions may be added upon request.
